Garbage Collection

Garbage and recyclables are collected at the curb once a week on Wednesdays in Twin Lakes. The containers used for garbage and recycling collection tend to clutter the right of way and are not aesthetically pleasing. Please remember to only put yours out the day prior to pick-up and pull it back from the street the evening of your service day.  Please DO not put out bulky items for collection unless you have contacted Waste Management for a special pick-up.

Curbside recycling is picked up on the same weekday as your regular garbage pick-up.  Rinse all bottles, cans and jars.  Remove caps and place in your bin.  Paper, paperboard, junk mail, catalogs, phonebooks, etc. should be placed in a paper sack and placed on top of the cans, plastics and bottles. Cardboard boxes can be broken down and placed beside your green bin.

Non-containerized Yard Trash shall be collected providing that it does not exceed four (4) feet in length or six (6) inches in diameter for any piece or segment. Limbs and branches exceeding these dimensions and weight shall be collected by a Special Service, which may be arranged between the resident and Waste Management. Please NO DUMPING of yard trash on open lots.

Call Waste Management, Inc. (574-3000) to schedule pick-up of bulky items such as furniture and appliances.
